Jerry and Sherlene Church were found murdered in their home on June 29, 2008. Both of them brought so much happiness to everyone that they met. We miss them and hold them close in our memories and hearts. Jerry was retired Army and served two tours in Vietnam. Sherlene was a talented musician. Their love of music is what attracted them to each other, but their kindness and love of one another is what kept them together.

my son tommy was killed by a drunk driver on 5 20 2006 while he mowed his lawn. he left a daughter and a son behind. his son was born almost 2 months after he died. my life keeps on moving but i am not sure with him gone. please believe me when i tell u i am sorry for your loss. Close

As difficult as it has been for me, our family, I can't even begin to imagine the pain of losing a loved one to Violence. Tremayne we came to visit you this past weekend. I didn't notice you were place next to a tree but since that was your name, its the perfect spot for you. Tremayne Jr. is 3 now of course and I make sure i show him pictures of you every single day and Alexia talks about you as if you never left. She still plays the game when we come into the house and says HI DADDY and it breaks my heart. We know your in a better place I just have a hard time explaining to them why. It hasn't been the same since you were taken from us. We definitely miss your cooking because as you know my cooking skills are limited!LOL In case I never told you enough times I will always love you and make sure I raise our kids to the best of my ability. That question will never be answered for families who live now after the murder of a dear loved one. Son, to lose you to such violence and in your prime of life adds more pain if at all possible to a grief like no other. The "people" who did this to you and Naz are worse than animals as animals do not kill for sport.
I am trying to find solace in the memories of your smile and in the remembrance of your laughter and love of life but honestly it's so very difficult. You were/are my only son, my "Golden Boy" as your sisters called you, how am I supposed to let go? Talking to and reading the stories of so many others like me, I realize I am not alone. I pray that the light you shone on your friends and family illuminates your path now and I look forward to the day when we will be reunited. In the meantime, God's rest to you my special son. I think of my mom every day and my heart aches. I have a 3 yr old she never got to hold and an 11 yr old that misses her grandma so. My mom was shot and killed 8/6/02 by my dad, who is currently in prison for this. It has taken me about 3 1/2 yrs to finally decide to communicate with him. It is very hard. I get angry alot when he talks about how his father is ill (in his 80's) etc.... and I let him know how it hurts me (atleast he knows his father is falling ill not just snatched away). I pray every day for me to forgive him and let the Lord handle my burden. If anyone mentioned the word forgive to me before I was ready to do it I would explode. I would ask them how they can tell me this when they have not personally gone through the same thing? They would say but, he's your dad. I didn't care, I was soooo ANGRY that he took my mom (she was only 48 y/o). I still have bouts of anger, but I pray. I finally realized my high blood pressure, anxiety, anger...I was going to worry myself into an early grave. I was not going to let this take me away from MY kids. My dad also has schizophrenia, but I wouldn't accept that as the reason for him shooting my mom (he was not taking his meds) and I'm still not entirely sure that is the sole reason....only God can avenge/bless properly I have learned through TONS of web searching, and reading about grief...etc God bless everyone here...a wonderful book is Total Forgiveness by R. T. Kendall. It is rationale yet true. Close
